Quote for the day

I was sitting in the reception room at the Australian Embassy with about six other people. An Australian woman in her mid 20's broke the silence when she turned to her Khmer friend/ boyfriend/ partner and asked: "So ave ya had ya HIV test yet?" He didn't answer.

It's sad that I only 'remember' you in my idle western lifestyle moments.........it's been a week since I've read your comments. Please don't feel we've dropped the ropes and forgotten you, it's just that the world crowds in. Part of me envys you the simplicity of your time there in "basic survival"......most of me does not, though. Hang in there and don't feel alone, because you're not, Marsha

    Hi Pip
I thought you weren't writing on your site until Ben told me to hit the "refresh" button!
It's good to see you still have a sense of humour.
I can imagine it would be very frustrating not to be able to follow the plans you have made for the day. it would be impossible for some people to live like that-we'll keep praying- you're going great!
