Woo Hoo!
Joy is like that. For weeks it feels like I've been riding into a headwind. Now I'm coasting downhill in a summer sunshower. Joy is like those first few drops of rain that fall out of a blue sky when you're not even looking up.

Hey, that's so great. I had an unexpected answer to prayer on Friday and it left me feeling joyful all weekend! You also remind me of CS Lewis' "Surprised by Joy" where he talks about the joy of having our deepest longings met by God. I'm preparing a study on joy, so it is just so timely - can I use your simile?

You're right, coasting down in the sonshine is such a joy, just remember to pick up some speed for the hill that's bound to come along:) Blessings and strength, Marsha
